NFL free agency continues to move forward as more players agree to new contracts, and some join new teams.

The Jets’ activity level has gotten higher in recent days after the team stayed largely quiet in the early days of free agency.

On Monday the Jets agreed to terms with edge rusher Jordan Jenkins on a new one year contract. In the early stages of free agency there were plenty of rumors that Jenkins was unlikely to return to the Jets in 2020. This likely reflected a big difference between what Jenkins was seeking and how the Jets valued him. Based on early reports of the deal, it sounds like the rest of the league valued Jenkins the same way the Jets did. The 2016 third round pick had to settle for a modest one year contract.
