With the beginning of the legal tampering period just 14 days away, we are starting to see smoke blown around the league. Some of these rumors will turn out to be legitimate. Some of them have been planted by teams or agents to gain leverage. And of course, some are just complete nonsense. They should all be taken with a grain of salt, and nothing should be considered final until pen is put to paper.
Regardless, it can be fun to delve into the rumor mill, watching the reports clash with one another as they fly in from every direction.
On Sunday morning, Pro Football Talk reported that at least one team was told impending free agent tackle Jack Conklin is planning to sign with the Jets.

Per a league source, one NFL team has been informed that Conklin plans to sign with the Jets when free agency opens on March 18.
Later in the day, Adam Schefter came out and refuted Pro Football Talk’s report, claiming Conklin has no plans in place to sign with the Jets.
Titans’ OT Jack Conklin will have many suitors in free agency, but he is not expected to land with the offensive-line-needy Jets, per sources. Jets like him, but the competition for him will be intense and there will be many suitors.
