The Jets have made another move along the offensive line. Alex Lewis, a 2019 trade acquisition of Joe Douglas, is back on a three-year deal.

Lewis is not an above-average starter or a long-term solution, but the Jets were not going to fix all five positions on their offensive line in one offseason. Some placeholders were needed. Lewis is viable enough to hold the fort down for one season if need be, and provide depth after that. It always seemed likely that he would be back due to his connection with Douglas, and now it is official.
