Podcast: Jets Add George Fant on the First Day of Free Agency

While free agency doesn’t technically begin for another day, in reality it got started yesterday. At noon Eastern teams were allowed to negotiate with free agents from other teams.

A number of the top free agents on the market have agreed to terms with new teams. The Jets added one player. It is tackle George Fant, who spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks.

On today’s podcast I discuss my thoughts on the early moments of free agency. If you are in panic mode over the lack of activity from the Jets, I would advise you that we are only one day into the offseason. There is still plenty of time for the Jets to upgrade their roster. History shows us that spending big early in free agency is not necessarily a recipe for wins once the autumn comes.
