Report: NFL Draft To Be Postponed

NFL Combine - Day 2

According to Hub Arkush of Pro Football Weekly, the NFL draft will be postponed this year and moved out of Las Vegas, Nevada, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

As for the Draft, according to my sources, Las Vegas is already canceled — it just hasn’t been announced yet — and the league will announce the Draft is being postponed until late May at least — as soon as the NFLPA’s decision on the new CBA is announced.

You can read the entire Arkush article here.

As of the writing of this article the NFL has not confirmed this.

In addition to delaying the draft, numerous rumors are surfacing that the NFL and the NFLPA will meet today to discuss the possibility of delaying the start of free agency. The NFLPA completed voting regarding the proposed new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) at 11:59 pm last night. Once the results of that voting are known, the parties will reportedly discuss whether or not to delay the start of the legal tampering period, currently scheduled for noon on Monday, March 16, 2020, and the start of free agency, currently scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
