The NFL season is officially over, and the Kansas City Chiefs have won Super Bowl LIV. The Chiefs defeated the NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers last night in Miami 31-20. Kansas City rallied from a 10 point fourth quarter deficit, scoring three touchdowns over the last half of the fourth quarter to win the second Super Bowl in franchise history and first in five decades.

On today’s podcast we discuss the game. After a rough three and a half quarters, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense got hot. As so frequently happens, one play dramatically changed the trajectory of the game. Sometimes that is all it takes for an explosive offense to kick things into high gear.

In the end I thought this was a tremendous way for the season to end. We got an entertaining football game and a deserving champion.

Thanks as always for listening to the podcast.
