Today is the third day of on field workouts at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends went on Thursday. Yesterday was dedicated to offensive linemen, running backs, special teamers, and kickers.
On Saturday the defensive side of the ball takes the stage. Defensive linemen and linebackers take the field for their drills.
Given the quality already on the roster, it seems unlikely the Jets would invest an early pick in an interior defensive lineman. The Jets do have a big need at edge rusher. Some edge rushers are categorized as defensive ends. Others are categorized as outside linebackers. These distinctions aren’t terribly important in today’s NFL. The important thing is showing the ability to generate pressure.
NFL Network will show the Combine today. Things are scheduled to get underway around 4:00 p.m. Eastern and continue through the evening. Use this thread to discuss what is happening.
