What was the most important play of the Jets’ loss to the Raiders?

Some newcomers here might have sarcastic things to say about this article so I want to make it clear this is a weekly feature. After every game we ask for people to tell us what they thought was the most important single play.

Most games this season have not had a clear cut answer. That is very different this week. There is an obvious choice.

The game appeared to be won for the Jets as they led in the final ten seconds. Then as you might have heard, former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams called an all out blitz. That is the reason he is now “former” defensive coordinator.

Rookie Lamar Jackson was left one on one against Henry Ruggs. Ruggs beat him. Derek Carr completed a 46 yard touchdown to Ruggs with 5 seconds left, and the Raiders pulled out an improbable victory. The Jets moved one step closer to an 0-16 season, the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and Trevor Lawrence.

I doubt there will be much debate this week, but let me know if you have a different play you think was more important.
