Monday Night Football, Week 13 Game 1. Tonight we have a Monday Night Football doubleheader. In the first game, the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Washington Football Team.

The 11-0 Pittsburgh Steelers are the only undefeated team in the NFL. This Steelers team thrives on turnovers. On offense the Steelers have turned the ball over less than all but three teams in the NFL. On defense the Steelers are #1 in the NFL in creating turnovers. The Steelers have had only two games all year in which the defense hasn’t created multiple turnovers. With the Kansas City Chiefs just one game back in the race for the #1 seed in the AFC, the Steelers have plenty to play for against the Football Team.

The 4-7 Washington Football Team comes into this game playing as well as they have all year. The Football Team has won their last two games and three of their last five. Last week the Football Team pummeled the Dallas Cowboys in a 41 - 16 blowout. The Football Team’s only win outside the woeful NFC East came against the terrible Cincinnati Bengals, so their ability to win outside the division is very much in question. The Football Team is playing to stay tied with the New York Giants atop the NFC East.

This game is a contest between two playoff contenders, but in no way should this be considered a close matchup. A Football Team win tonight would be a major upset. Nonetheless, stranger things have happened. It’s the Steelers and the Football Team in a NFC showdown on Monday Night Football.
