I saw it. I still can’t believe it.
I have seen over 250 losses as a Jets fan, and I’m not sure any has been as ridiculous as the one we witnessed yesterday. The only saving grace for the Jets is that most of us are either checked out emotionally, rooting for the team to lose for Draft position, or both. Perhaps in the long run we will look at this as a positive moment for the franchise that helped secure the quarterback of the future.
Today isn’t your typical game recap podcast. I talk a bit about some of the other aspects of the game, but most of the focus has to be on the absurdity of the game-losing play. Gregg Williams called an all out blitz in a Hail Mary situation. He left an undrafted rookie on an island, and the Jets paid the price.
Thanks as always for listening.
