It’s week 13 of the 2020 NFL season and the New York Jets are hosting the Oakland Raiders at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets come into this game off an 11th straight loss to start the season, against the Miami Dolphins. Unlike their prior two losses, where the Jets had a legitimate chance to win the game late in the fourth quarter, last week the Jets reverted to getting thoroughly dominated. The Jets should have their entire offense intact today, other than guard Alex Lewis. It will be interesting to see how the Jets offense, as originally envisioned before injuries ravaged the team, fares today.
The Raiders come into this game fresh off an embarrassing blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The 6-5 Raiders are still in the playoff hunt and will be looking to improve their chances with a victory over the winless Jets. That might not be as easy as it appears. The Raiders rely heavily on the run game. Shut down the Raiders run game and you are likely to win the game. With Josh Jacobs missing this game, the Raiders might not find running against a Jets defense ranked 4th in the NFL in yards per carry an easy task. A Jets upset victory this week may not be out of reach.
It’s the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders in an AFC matchup with playoff implications for the Raiders. Please leave your comments in the section cleverly marked “comments” below. Enjoy the game everybody.
