The Jets claimed a pair of players off waivers on Monday.

It comes as no surprise that the Jets were in the market for a new kicker after Sergio Castillo missed three field goals in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks.

McLaughlin made 4 of 5 field goal attempts in three games with Jacksonville this season. He was 18 of 23 last season playing for three different teams.

Coley is a 26 year old defensive lineman who has bounced around the league since entering as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He has spent the 2020 season moving between the Cardinals active roster and their practice squad. The Jets are essentially giving him a 2021 audition over the final three weeks of the season.

As the team with the worst record in the NFL, the Jets have the top priority on waiver claims. If another team lets a player go, the Jets have a chance to add him. We will see how active the team is over the next three weeks adding players.
