Jets vs. Seahawks: Five Bold Predictions

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Just when you think the Jets might actually win a game, Gregg Williams decides to go bold when he really ought to go sane. Well, at least we’re playing the Seahawks after a humiliating loss to the Giants. Also, this is a Jamal Adams “revenge game” in which the defensive coordinator who called him out in the offseason has just been fired for terrible coaching. I suppose even having a bold prediction column at this point is going bold, but I might as well try for a few more:

Disclaimer: Bold Predictions are not realistic expectations for the game, but rather something that is unlikely to happen, yet possible. These predictions are pro-Jets, yet stretch the boundaries of probability. Claiming that the Jets score 20 points is not a Bold Prediction, nor is claiming that the Jets score 700 points. These predictions must be within the bounds of possibility, but also highly improbable. As always, the final score prediction remains a realistic guess at the result of the game and does not relate to the Bold Predictions.

Here are my five bold predictions for today’s game:

  • Jamal Adams does not record a single statistic.
  • Chris Herndon catches 2 touchdown passes.
  • The Jets tally 6 sacks or more.
  • Four Jets go for over 75 yards from scrimmage.
  • The Jets score twice on defense.

Final Score: Jets 19, Seahawks 34
