Jets vs Patriots Second Half Thread

NFL: New England Patriots at New York Jets Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The first half of the Jets game against the New England Patriots is in the books, and the Jets lead the Patriots, 20 - 10.

The Jets opened the game with a long drive highlighted by a big play to rookie Denzel Mims. As has been the Jets’ habit this year, the drive stalled in the red zone and the Jets ended up kicking a field goal to go up 3 - 0.

The Patriots answered with a long touchdown drive of their own as Cam Newton ran it in, and the Patriots went up 7 - 3, taking their first lead since late September.

The Jets came right back and struck gold with a beautiful 50 yard bomb to Breshad Perriman to take a 10 - 7 lead, as we started to see glimpses of what this offense was intended to look like with the top three receivers on the field.

After the Patriots turned the ball over on downs, the Jets went on another short drive and kicked a 50 yard field goal for a 13 - 7 lead.

The Patriots answered with a field goal. The Jets then put up a late touchdown drive to cap off a dominant half of football for the Jets. For one half of football, this was the Jets offense Joe Douglas and company envisioned before the season.

We head into the second half with the Jets dominating the Patriots by 10 points.

Enjoy the second half everyone.
