Jets vs. Patriots: Five Bold Predictions

I’m sure we all hoped that the Jets would be the team to dethrone the Patriots dynasty, but now that the decline has come, the Jets are nowhere close to donning the crown. In fact, the Jets are so bad that the defanged Patriots still tower above them. The Jets do have an outside chance of possibly getting close to being considered competitive in this game, however, so let’s get bold:

These predictions are pro-Jets, yet stretch the boundaries of probability. Claiming that the Jets score 20 points is not a Bold Prediction, nor is claiming that the Jets score 700 points. These predictions must be within the bounds of possibility, but also highly improbable. Here are my five bold predictions for today’s game:

• Joe Flacco records two rushing touchdowns.
• The Jets hold the Patriots to under 200 yards of total offense.
• The Jets score on offense, defense, and special teams.
• Four different Jets record a sack.
• The Jets rush for over 200 yards.
