The Friday injury report for the Jets game against the Patriots on Monday is out. There was progress for Sam Darnold, Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman and others, while Vyncint Smith, Trevon Wesco and Nathan Shepherd experienced setbacks.

Five players did not practice as follows:

Blake Cashman - Hamstrings (plural)

Frank Gore - Rest day

Vyncint Smith - Groin (Downgraded from full practice yesterday)

Quinnen Williams - Hamstring

Trevon Wesco - Ankle (Downgraded from full practice yesterday)

Seven players were limited at practice as follows:

Sam Darnold - Shoulder (Upgraded from no practice yesterday)

Jamison Crowder - Groin (Upgraded from no practice yesterday)

Nathan Shepherd - Back (Upgraded from no practice yesterday)

Josh Andrews - Shoulder

Sam Ficken - Groin

John Franklin-Myers - Knee

Connor McGovern - Knee

Two players were upgraded from limited practice yesterday to full practice today.

Breshad Perriman - Concussion (Upgraded from limited practice yesterday)

Jordan Jenkins - Rib/Shoulder (Upgraded from limited practice yesterday)

Sam Darnold, when asked if he expected to play Monday night, responded “We’ll see. Taking it day by day.” That doesn’t sound so good. If Joe Flacco is forced to start, any chance the Jets might have had against the Patriots likely goes out the window. On the other hand, with Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman trending in the right direction, if Darnold plays there is a chance we will finally get to see the first string Jets offense. That could be interesting.
