Jets Injury Report

The week’s first injury report for the Jets game against the Patriots on Monday is out.

Five players did not practice as follows:

Blake Cashman - Hamstrings (plural)

Quinnen Williams - Hamstring

Jamison Crowder - Groin

Sam Darnold - Shoulder

Nathan Shepherd - Back

The MRI on Sam Darnold’s shoulder showed no structural damage. He is reported to be sore, but he expects to attempt to practice Friday and attempt to play against the Patriots, if he suffers no setbacks. Blake Cashman apparently now has two injured hamstrings. That probably means an extended absence. It’s beginning to look like Cashman has problems staying on the field. Jamison Crowder may try to practice on Friday.

Eight players were limited at practice as follows:

Josh Andrews - Shoulder

Sam Ficken - Groin

John Franklin-Myers - Knee

Jordan Jenkins - Rib/Shoulder

Connor McGovern - Knee

Breshad Perriman - Concussion

Vyncint Smith - Groin

Trevon Wesco - Ankle

Breshad Perriman continues to work his way through concussion protocols. With Perriman, Crowder and Smith all possibly sidelined or hobbled for the game on Monday, the Jets continue to struggle to put credible receiving threats on the field for Sam Darnold. We’ll see if the news gets better as the week rolls along.
