After an ugly performance in a loss to the Dolphins on Sunday Jets head coach Adam Gase said Sam Darnold will remain the team’s starting quarterback.
Adam Gase has no intention of benching Sam Darnold down the stretch. "Sam is the starter and we need Sam to play as many snaps as possible," he said.

Reading between the lines, Gase basically said there is no way Darnold will be benched the rest of the season, no matter how badly he plays

I know this is supposed to be a website that analyzes the Jets, but I don’t think it matters who plays quarterback for the Jets over the final five games. We know the Darnold era is coming to an end. We know Joe Flacco’s career is nearing its end. The Jets haven’t won a game with either quarterback. The offense has been the least productive in the NFL with both under center. Things won’t improve with either Mike White or James Morgan getting snaps.
I think the last five games are simply about getting this season over with so the team can start building for the future. This team is capable of losing games without scoring points no matter which player takes the snaps going forward.
