It’s week 12 of the 2020 NFL season and the New York Jets are hosting the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets come into this game off a tough loss against the Los Angeles Chargers that went down to the wire last week. It was the second consecutive week the Jets had a chance for a win late in the fourth quarter. The Jets offense has picked up dramatically with all three starting receivers finally in the lineup together, and this no longer looks like a team that has no chance of victory going into every game.
Victory this week against the Dolphins won’t be easy. The last time these two teams met earlier this season the Jets were shutout in an embarrassing blowout in Miami. The Dolphins come into this game off a loss to the Denver Broncos after ripping off wins in each of their five previous games. The Dolphins are a team that lives on turnovers. In terms of yards gained their offense and defense are both well below average. What has them contending for a playoff spot is their offense’s ability to take care of the ball and their defense’s ability to take it away. The Dolphins’ defense has taken the ball away at least once in every game this season. If the Jets can find a way to take care of the football without going into a shell on offense they should have a decent chance at coming out of this game with a victory.
It’s the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins in an AFC East grudge match. Please leave your comments in the section cleverly marked “comments” below. Enjoy the game everybody.
