Jets vs. Dolphins: Five Bold Predictions

NFL: New York Jets at Miami Dolphins Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The last time these two teams faced off, it marked the absolute low point of the Jets on offense, as they managed to put up 0 points in all 4 quarters. Somehow this still feels like one of the most winnable games of the year, as the Jets look significantly better with healthy receivers catching passes from Joe Flacco. I’m going extra bold this week by predicting that the Jets pick up their first win of the season! Let’s go bold:

Disclaimer: Bold Predictions are not realistic expectations for the game, but rather something that is unlikely to happen, yet possible. These predictions are pro-Jets, yet stretch the boundaries of probability. Claiming that the Jets score 20 points is not a Bold Prediction, nor is claiming that the Jets score 700 points. These predictions must be within the bounds of possibility, but also highly improbable. As always, the final score prediction remains a realistic guess at the result of the game and does not relate to the Bold Predictions.

Here are my five bold predictions for today’s game:

  • The Jets shut out the Dolphins on offense.
  • Four Jets go for over 75 yards from scrimmage.
  • Denzel Mims catches his first and second TD passes of his career.
  • The Dolphins fail to reach 200 yard of total offense.
  • The Jets win the turnover battle by 3.

Final Score: Jets 20, Dolphins 16
