Texans vs Lions Game Thread

Thanksgiving Day Football, 2020. In the first game of the day, the Detroit Lions host the Houston Texans.

The 4-6 Lions come into this came fresh off a shutout loss to the Carolina Panthers. Losers of three of their last four games, already all but eliminated from playoff contention, the Lions are playing out the string in another of what seems like an endless series of dreary Lions seasons. Most likely a coaching change and another rebuild lies in store for the Lions after the season.

The 3-7 Houston Texans are even more disappointing than the Lions. The Texans come into this game off a win over the New England Patriots. The Texans have been playing better of late, winners of two of their last three, but this is a sad season for Deshaun Watson and company.

A game with no playoff implications, between two teams playing out the string and in need of rebuilds. This isn’t a dream Thanksgiving Day matchup, but it’s what we’ve got today.
