The Jets are 0-10 and officially eliminated from Playoff contention. The only drama left in 2020 season is whether they will be the third team in NFL history to go 0-16. Most of the focus is on the future.
Most of us are expecting the Jets to make a coaching change. While you can never rule anything out with the Johnsons, there isn’t much of a rationale for keeping Adam Gase. Last year the team could at least point to a 6-2 finish.
Selling this job to potential candidates has some challenges. There are things that will likely make potential hires think twice. There also are some potentially attractive aspects of taking over as Jets head coach.
