The Jets fell to 0-10 yesterday and were officially eliminated from Playoff contention in a 34-28 loss to the Chargers.
I mentioned a few weeks back that bad teams find different ways to lose. This was a new type of loss for the Jets. It began looking like yet another uncompetitive blowout as Los Angeles took a 24-6 halftime lead. The Jets actually played pretty well in the second half, however. At one point they had the ball down 8 in the fourth quarter with a chance to tie.
The team wasn’t able to finish, however, and the Chargers held on for a win.
On today’s podcast I talk about the loss. While the players deserve some of the blame this was a game where the team’s coaching deficiencies really stood out to me. It is tough to explain some of the decisions and how the team played such a poor first half coming off the bye.
Thanks for listening.
