It’s week 11 of the 2020 NFL season and the New York Jets are visiting the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Jets come into this game fresh off their best performance of the year. For three quarters the Jets dominated the New England Patriots two weeks ago. Then they folded their cards and capitulated as they ran just four offensive plays in the final quarter and gave up a double digit lead in a crushing loss. The one silver lining in that game was that the Jets had their top three wide receivers all on the field at the same time for the first time all year, and it appeared to make a pretty dramatic difference in the offense. Perhaps that’s something to build on as the Jets try to get in the win column today against a Chargers team that has blown late leads week after week after week en route to a 2-7 record. The rest of the season doesn’t have a lot of easy games left for the Jets. This game will also likely not be easy, but a 2-7 Chargers team might represent one of the last chances for victory this year. On the other hand, with Chargers sensational rookie quarterback Justin Herbert lighting it up most weeks, and the Jets down to a handful of rookies and scrubs at cornerback, this one could get out of hand early.
It’s the New York Jets and the Las Angeles Chargers in a matchup of AFC bottom dwellers. Please leave your comments in the section cleverly marked “comments” below. Enjoy the game everybody.
