Good morning, GGN! The Jets have placed cornerback Blessuan Austin on the injured reserve list. That means the Jets have lost all three starting cornerbacks since they last played. Though the Jets’ starting outside cornerbacks weren’t very good, slot cornerback Brian Poole was excellent. The loss of all three gives the Jets rookie cornerbacks a chance to prove themselves against the Chargers’ outstanding rookie quarterback Justin Herbert. Guys like Bryce Hall, Javelin Guidry and Lamar Jackson now have the opportunity to make a name for themselves in the NFL. Those names may not inspire much confidence in Jets fans, but for those guys this is the opportunity they have been waiting for.
