The 6-3 Seattle Seahawks come into this game reeling, losers of three of their last four games after opening the season with five straight wins. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is going through a highly uncharacteristic stretch of football in which he has continually turned the ball over. With the Seahawks fielding the league’s most porous defense, Wilson needs to be almost perfect for the Seahawks to win games. When he’s off, the Seattle offense just can’t score enough to compensate for the team’s nonexistent defense.
The 6-3 Arizona Cardinals come into this game surging, winners of four of their last five games, including an overtime win over the Seahawks a few weeks ago. The Cardinals have scored 30+ points in five straight games, as Kyler Murray’s nearly 3000 yards of total offense has people mentioning him in the MVP conversation.
A win by the Cardinals would give them a one game edge and the head to head tiebreaker against the Seahawks in the NFC West. That would put them in the driver’s seat for a division crown, with two upcoming games against the Rams probably deciding the division. If the Seahawks can come out of this game with a win, their next four games against the Eagles, Giants, Jets and Football Team don’t present much of a challenge, leaving them with two games against the Rams and the 49ers at the end of the year to decide the division crown.
This is a huge game for both team’s hopes of wining the division. It’s the Seahawks and the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. Enjoy the game everybody.
