Additionally, the #Jets have signed TE Connor Davis to the practice squad.
Poole suffered a knee injury in the Jets’ last game, a Week 9 loss to the Patriots. Manish Mehta reports that Poole is also dealing with a shoulder injury.

Poole is one of the few solid players the Jets have on defense. Losing him will weaken a unit that is already pretty weak.
That said, this season is a lost cause. There isn’t much of a reason for players to take the field when injured. It is probably best for all parties involved to wait until everybody is fully healthy to play again.
Poole is set to be a free agent after this season. The Jets will have an interesting decision to make. He has been effective in his two seasons with the team, but money is always a factor. It might come down to whether the Jets believe they have a viable replacement on the roster.
