The New York Jets lost to the New England Patriots Monday night, a ninth consecutive loss to start the season. At 0-9 the Jets are the NFL’s sole winless team, and there is little doubt the Jets are the worst team in the NFL. Sunday’s game saw the Jets produce 77 yards of total offense in the second half. That brings the Jets total offense in the second half for the past three games, six quarters in all, to 145 yards. The Jets have been outscored in the second half of the last three games by a combined 46 - 7. This Jets team just keeps sinking to new lows. Every time you think it can’t get any worse, the Jets say, “Hold my beer.” How do the power rankings feel about the latest Jets loss? Not much in the way of surprises on that front.
32) New York Jets (0-9)
The Jets are a terrible NFL team and the 32nd team in these Week 10 NFL Power Rankings. However, people need to realize that these are talented proud players and for New York, the Monday night game against the perennial powerhouse Patriots for everyone in the country to see was basically the Jets’ Super Bowl. Joe Flacco faced little pressure and made some excellent throws mostly to Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims, a promising pair of downfield threats. But, they still have yet to win a game.
32. New York Jets (0-9)
Recalibrated expectation: One stinking win
The Jets figured to be only a six-win team in 2020, give or take, yet they’ve found a way to underachieve on low expectations. It takes a special kind of bad to do that. Quite simply, they don’t have an NFL-caliber offense, which makes it kind of tough to ... you know, score points and win. They’ve been noncompetitive almost every week, once managing only 4 total yards in the second half of a game. Winning one game might be a high bar to set, but you have to dream big, right?

Next week: Bye
We knew some lucky team would end up with the chance to draft Trevor Lawrence, but few could have guessed the Jets would be this bad.
32. Jets, 0-9 (32)
Welp, the Jets held a 10-point lead against the Pats with barely six minutes remaining Monday night, on the strength of three Joe Flacco touchdowns. Cam Newton then led three straight scoring drives — a field goal, a tying TD plunge and a game-winning field goal by former Jets kicker Nick Folk as time expired — to complete Gang Green’s first 0-9 start in franchise history. Next: Bye
Well, there it is. The Jets just keep finding new ways to stink.
What do you think? Where should the Jets rank in the NFL power rankings? Where should they rank in NFL history?
