Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season continues with just three late afternoon games.

In a NFC West showdown the San Francisco 49ers travel up the west coast to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a big rivalry game. These two teams have combined to win 7 of the last 10 NFC West titles. This year the Seahawks have been on top early, leading the NFC West with a 5-1 record. Russell Wilson is having an MVP worthy season, leading the Seahawks offense to great heights. However, the once feared Seahawks defense has fallen on hard times, and is now the Achilles heal of the team, ranking 26th in the NFL. The 4-3 49ers have been a feast or famine team this year. They have scored 31 or more points three times, and 20 or fewer points three times. They have given up 13 or fewer points three times, and 24 or more points three times. You never know which 49er team is going to show up. If it’s the good 49ers today, this game has the potential to be a classic.

In the other late games, the 5-2 Chicago Bears host the 4-2 New Orleans Saints in a game with playoff implications for both teams, and the 2-4 Los Angeles Chargers visit the 2-4 Denver Broncos in a game between AFC West cellar dwellers.

Enjoy the games everybody. Use this thread to comment on whichever late afternoon games catch your fancy.
