New York Jets Flight Connections 10/6/20

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Jets finally made a good move yesterday, as they released RB Kalen Ballage. Ballage had a horrendous game on Thursday missing his blocking assignments on numerous occasions, making Sam Darnold’s night a living hell. Ballage looked so bad that it’s almost impossible to believe that GM Joe Douglas was willing to give up a draft pick to the Dolphins for him earlier in the year. And speaking of Darnold, there’s question as to whether or not he will be able to suit up on Sunday after being diagnosed with a sprained AC joint. Darnold’s case seems to be mild as most people need a sling when suffering this injury, so there’s still a chance he’s able to play. Whether or not that’s the correct decision remains to be seen. If there’s a chance Joe Flacco has to play and manages to pull out a W or a solid performance, there’s a chance that Darnold’s days could be numbered as a Jet sooner than later.
