NY Jets Helmet Stickers: Week 7

Syndication: The Record Chris Pedota, NorthJersey.com via Imagn Content Services, LLC

Four yards. I think I’ve said all that I need to about this game, here are the stickers for the week:

Bronze Star: Frank Gore (11 carries for 60 yards)

I’m not happy that the Jets are giving the ball to Gore in general, but I thought he ran hard in this game. He averaged almost 2 full yards per carry more than Perine. I don’t have much more to say on the matter, I sincerely hope I don’t have to put him on this list again.

Silver Star: Neville Hewitt (13 tackles)

Not a lot of competition for these stars this week, so Hewitt is back on the board. He did stuff a lot of plays, adding 10 solo tackles, which was good for double the next highest player on the team. Whenever you see Hewitt on this list, you know it was a rough game for the Jets.

Gold Star: Quinnen Williams (4 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack)

Williams played a very solid game against the Bills, generating consistent pressure and causing multiple quarterback hits entirely on his own. He also caused two negative plays, which do show in his stat sheet. Williams is probably the Jets best defensive player, which is pretty concerning right now.

So there you have it, seven weeks in and the table stands:

Jamison Crowder 8 points (2 gold, 1 silver)

Quinnen Williams 6 points (2 gold)

Marcus Maye 6 points (2 gold)

Mekhi Becton 3 points (1 silver, 1 bronze)

Sam Ficken 3 points (1 silver, 1 bronze)

Neville Hewitt 1 point (1 silver, 1 bronze)

No One (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze)

Brian Poole 2 points (1 silver)

John Franklin-Myers 2 points (1 silver)

Avery Williamson 1 point (1 bronze)

Bless Austin 1 point (1 bronze)

Frank Gore 1 point (1 bronze)
