New York Jets Flight Connections 10/22/20

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The fire sale continues, as the Jets traded LB Jordan Willis to the 49ers for a 2022 6th round selection. Along with Willis, the Jets sent over a 2021 7th round pick as well. It’s surprising that Joe Douglas got anything for Willis, considering how little he’s played for the Jets in the past 2 seasons. It does however, add to the thought that the team is punting away the season. As a fan, it sucks to see but if you’ve been paying attention to the team from the start - this seemed inevitable. It’s easy to have optimism when you don’t see the team play, but even looking at the roster before the season began you would be hard-pressed to find any position where the Jets had a Top 10 starter (sans Jamal Adams). We’ll see if any more players are traded or released as the trade deadline comes quicker.
