Jets vs. Dolphins: Five Bold Predictions

NFL: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

After narrowly losing by Jets standards to the injury-depleted Broncos, the Jets showed their true colors once again in another noncompetitive game against a mediocre Cardinals team. Now the Jets have a chance to show their true colors once again against a mediocre Dolphins team. Might as well go bold:

Disclaimer: Bold Predictions are not realistic expectations for the game, but rather something that is unlikely to happen, yet possible. These predictions are pro-Jets, yet stretch the boundaries of probability. Claiming that the Jets score 20 points is not a Bold Prediction, nor is claiming that the Jets score 700 points. These predictions must be within the bounds of possibility, but also highly improbable. As always, the final score prediction remains a realistic guess at the result of the game and does not relate to the Bold Predictions.

Here are my five bold predictions for today’s game:

  • Three different Jets catch a touchdown pass.
  • Frank Gore breaks 100 yards rushing.
  • The Jets convert a two point conversion twice.
  • No Dolphins player cracks 100 yards from scrimmage.
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick throws four interceptions.

Final Score: Jets 17, Dolphins 26
