The Jets have officially ruled quarterback Sam Darnold out of the Week 6 game against the Dolphins. Joe Flacco will make his second consecutive start as Darnold recovers from a shoulder injury.
Sam Darnold will be OUT for Sunday's game against Miami and Joe Flacco will start.

At this point I’m not even sure I want to see Darnold back this year. I don’t see what good it would do.
With Le’Veon Bell gone, the Jets don’t seem interested in putting an infrastructure in place where Darnold has much of a chance to succeed. He has been put into an impossible position his entire career, and things are getting worse around him. You can debate how good Darnold is. You can debate how successful he would be under better surrounding. I just don’t think any young quarterback would have a chance in these surroundings.
For these same reasons I’d have to disagree with anybody calling for James Morgan to get the start. This team just can’t support a young quarterback right now.
