The first weekend of the NFL Playoffs is in the books. If it is any indication, we are in for an epic year of postseason football. All four games went down to the finish. Road teams won three of the games. A pair of the contests went to overtime.

On Saturday a pair of AFC East rivals were eliminated as the Texans beat the Bills 22-19 in overtime. In the nightcap, the Titans went to Foxboruough and ousted the hated Patriots 20-13. The defending champions are home for the winter as questions emerge about Tom Brady’s future.

On Sunday Kirk Cousins came up big in overtime leading the Vikings to a touchdown drive in a 26-20 win over the Saints in New Orleans. Meanwhile Carson Wentz was knocked out early, and old friend Josh McCown was not able to rally Philadelphia in the Eagles’ 17-9 loss to the Seahawks.

This coming Saturday the Vikings visit the 49ers while the Ravens host the Titans. On Sunday the Texans visit the Chiefs early, while the Packers will host the Seahawks late.
