New York Jets Flight Connections 1/31/20

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The word today is the Jets want to re-sign wide receiver Robby Anderson. If that’s true, that makes two high priced incumbents the Jets are looking to sign to new contracts this year, including the Jamal Adams extension that is supposedly in the works. If both deals get done, that would cut substantially into the team’s cap space. That’s not to say these deals are ill advised; it just shows that the Jets don’t have as much cap space as you might think to actually improve the team, as opposed to simply returning the team to the same level it was at last year. The Joe Douglas overhaul this year may be less drastic than is sometimes assumed. We shall see in about six weeks.
