The Associated Press’ All Pro team is the highest individual honor a player can receive in the NFL. The team was announced today, and Jets safety Jamal Adams was named First Team All Pro.
Best in the game, and still getting better.

Adams recorded 75 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception in 2019. After an uneven start to the season, he finished strong. When the Jets won a game this season, odds are Adams played really well. There were some games where Jamal took the team on his back. In a difficult stretch for the team overall, I think it is fair to say the Jets have found themselves a bona fide superstar at the safety position.
Spoiler alert: Get used to me talking a lot this offseason about the Jets’ need to get Adams on a long-term contract extension.
This is Jamal’s second All Pro selection. A year ago he was named Second Team All Pro.
