Today we return to FanPulse. Throughout the NFL season and offseason SB Nation sends a survey to fans asking for opinions on their favorite team and the league at large.
Jets fan confidence was low throughout much of the 2019 season. It was a disappointing campaign for the team. In spite of a record free agent spending spree and an offseason of hope, the Jets finished 7-9 and out of the Playoffs.
The second half of the year was better than the first half for the Jets. After a nightmare 1-7 start, the team went 6-2 in the second half. It wasn’t enough to salvage a postseason run, but it also was a huge improvement.
How do fans view the team heading to the offseason? That late surge didn’t do much to move the needle. Only 11% of Jets fans polled expressed confidence in the team’s direction.

That is the third lowest confidence rate in the league, ahead of only the Chargers and Jaguars.
The offseason always breeds confidence, though. I am sure we will see those numbers rise over the next few months.
