Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season continues with a handful of late afternoon games.
Perhaps the best of the late afternoon games features the Indianapolis Colts going on the road to face the Los Angeles Chargers in a matchup of two AFC playoff hopefuls. The retirement of Andrew Luck has taken some of the luster off what the NFL hoped would be an outstanding matchup to open the season, but the Colts are still a deep and talented team fully capable of making a playoff run.
In the other late games the Cincinnati Bengals travel west to take on the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers make the long trip east to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Jimmy Garoppolo’s long anticipated return to NFL action, the New York Giants take on their arch rivals the Dallas Cowboys in Texas, and the Detroit Lions head to the desert to tangle with the Arizona Cardinals and their funky new age offense led by rookie sensation Kyler Murray at quarterback.
Enjoy the games everybody. Use this thread to comment on whichever late afternoon games catch your fancy.
