The first half of the Jets 2019 season opener against the Buffalo Bills is in the books, and the Jets lead the Bills 6 - 0.
On offense the Jets struggled to move the ball against a tough Bills defense, managing just 43 yards of offense in the first quarter. Sam Darnold was under heavy pressure by a fierce Bills pass rush most of the half.
On defense the Jets bent but didn’t break. The Bills offense showed zero respect for a suspect Jets secondary, as they dropped back to pass every play of the first quarter other than the last play. The Bills were able to move the ball fairly well, with Josh Allen providing nearly all of the Bills offense, but four Allen turnovers have so far been the difference in this game.
We go into the second half with the Jets leading by 6 points.
Enjoy the second half everyone.
