The Jets fell to 0-3 on Sunday, falling to the Patriots 30-14 in Foxborough. A 16 point margin doesn’t exactly sound like a close game, but even then the score doesn’t do New England’s domination justice.
The game was over by early in the second quarter as the Patriots jumped out to a 20-0 lead. New England scored touchdowns on its first three possessions. While the Pats offense eventually slowed down a bit, the Jets offense was stuck in reverse all day. It was one of the worst offensive performances in recent memory for a Jets team that has trotted out bottom tier offenses with regularity this decade.
The Jets were undermanned in this game, but I thought it was a disgraceful performance. On today’s podcast I discuss the personnel and coaching issues that led to this brutal effort in Week 3.
Thank you as always for tuning into the show.
