Jets Week 3 Anti-Game Ball: Everybody

NFL: New York Jets at New England Patriots David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets lost again on Sunday, which means it is time to give out another anti-game ball.

I think the total domination of this game by New England requires a special anti-game ball. This was not a game where there were one or two major culprits behind the Jets’ demise.

The game was over early in the second quarter. The Jets were down by 20 points for over half the game. The points at which they were within one score were fleeting.

The defense spotted New England that big lead by allowing three straight touchdowns at the start of the game. The offense never got going, averaging just over 2 yards per play and converting zero third downs all game. The gameplanning and playcalling? Forget about it.

To quote the immortal Jim Mora, “Coaching did a horrible job. The players did a horrible job.”

For that reason I’m giving my anti-game ball to everybody.

Who gets yours?
