The Jets made a roster move on Monday, bringing back recently released linebacker Albert McClellan and placing offensive lineman Brent Qvale on injured reserve.

RB Josh Adams and TE Ian Bunting have signed to the practice squad.
McClellan was let go by the Jets on cutdown day, initially failing to make the 53 man roster. He had originally been signed by the Jets just a few weeks earlier after Avery Williamson suffered a season-ending injury in the second preseason game against Atlanta. After Saturday’s roster trimming, the Jets were notably light on bodies at the linebacker position making McClellan’s return logical.
Qvale suffered a serious injury in training camp. There has been speculation for a few weeks whether he would end up on IR. Just as the team lacked players at linebacker, carrying ten offensive linemen seemed a bit excessive. Rookie Chuma Edoga will likely take Qvale’s role as the primary backup at both tackle positions as the regular season begins this weekend against the Bills.
