The Jets have suffered numerous injuries to key players during this young season. C.J. Mosley and Quinnen Williams were among the players who got hurt during the Week 1 loss to the Bills. Jordan Jenkins was injured during the Week 2 loss to the Browns, while Demaryius Thomas seemingly aggravated a hamstring injury during the game.
These players were among the Jets who sat out practice on Thursday.

With the bye coming up, it could make some sense to sit them out for Sunday’s game at New England to get them extra rest. On the other hand, the Jets really need to win the game and are already undermanned.
Here’s what Adam Gase had to say about some of his notable injured players.
On if Quinnen Williams had a setback...
Not really a setback, we’re just trying to gage where he was at. There were a lot of things that we’re going really well through that first part of the rehab and yesterday we did some other things and we felt like let’s leave him inside, let’s kind of work on strengthening some stuff and then see if we can get him out tomorrow.
On if it’s fair to say Mosley will be out against New England...
I don’t want to put that on him. I know last week when we said he was out, I don’t think he was really happy about that. So, we want to give him that whole time.
On if having a Week Four bye factors into if Mosley will play or not...
Yeah, we’re looking at all of that. I just want to give him every opportunity for him to be like, “All right, I either can or can’t.”
