New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas promised he’d be aggressive in using the Jets #3 waiver claim priority. True to his word, the Jets were aggressive.

The New York Jets have been awarded wide receiver Braxton Berrios, defensive end John Franklin-Myers, defensive back Bennett Jackson and kicker Kaare Vedvik on waivers.

Braxton Berrios is a 5’ 9”, 184 pound slot receiver out of the University of Miami. He was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL draft by the New England Patriots.

John Franklin-Myers is a 6’ 4”, 285 pound defensive end out of Stephen F. Austin University. He was originally selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Los Angeles Rams.

Bennett Jackson is a 6’ 0”, 192 pound defensive back out Notre Dame. He was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the New York Giants. He was out of the NFL from 2015 through 2018.

Kaare Vedvik is a 6’ 3”, 207 pound kicker out of Marshall. Vedvik spent training camp with the Ravens before being dealt to the Vikings for a fifth round pick. The Vikings cut him after a poor showing in Vikings camp.
