New York Jets Flight Connections 9/01/19

Good morning, GGN! The Jets cut down from the off season 90 man roster to the in season 53 man roster yesterday. Perhaps the most controversial cut was Jachai Polite, the 2019 3rd round selection who struggled badly in his first training camp. Time will tell whether or not cutting Polite was a mistake.

Today we have waiver wire claims, so the guys currently at the back end of the 53 man roster are still in jeopardy of being replaced by guys off the waiver wire. Following the waiver claims the Jets will put together their practice squad for 2019, and the roster will finally begin to solidify, though of course the team will constantly be looking for opportunities to upgrade.
