The preseason is underway in 2019. The Jets played their opener last night. The game was delayed by weather for approximately an hour during the first half. The teams returned and completed the contest, a 31-22 win for the Giants. The teams will meet again in the regular season with much more at stake.
On today’s podcast we discussed what happened. On a positive note, it was a good night for Sam Darnold. He led the Jets to a touchdown drive on his only series of the night. The first team defense also did a good job in a brief appearance.
Once the first team left, there wasn’t much good to say. A number of the backups looking to make an impact struggled. The worst performances of the night were arguably turned in by kicker Chandler Catanzaro and quarterback Davis Webb.
We discuss this and more on today’s podcast episode. Thanks for listening.
