Podcast: What to watch in Jets vs. Giants

Tonight the preseason gets underway for the Jets. Kickoff time against the New York Giants as 7:00 p.m. at MetLife Stadium.

On today’s podcast I will discuss what will be my focus during this game. I watch preseason games differently than I watch the regular season. Once the real games start, the focus is on the outcome of the game and the key components. In the preseason my focus tends to be narrower. The final score doesn’t matter. The performance of many important players is an afterthought. Preseason tends to matter for select players. Sometimes these are guys looking to continue a strong camp performance. Others are trying to rebound after a bad camp start. Still others are in roster and position battles, while there are also players looking to get off to a good start after a bad previous season.

These are the people I am focusing on the most.
