The preseason countdown is now at two days. Thursday night is when the Jets and the Giants will get things started from MetLife Stadium. It will be the first of four preseason games the Jets will play in 2019.
This time of year is exciting for many fans, but it is generally a good idea to not get too excited or upset about what happens in preseason. These games do not count for anything and are quickly forgotten once Week 1 arrives. Frequently the results in preseason are opposite from what happens during the real games.
On today’s podcast we look at some of the things likely to receive too much attention over the next four weeks. They include the play of the young quarterback, the defensive coordinator’s scheme, the top Draft pick, and performances of various backups that lack the proper context.
Thanks as always for tuning in to the show.
