Jets Sign Safety Matthias Farley

The New York Jets have signed veteran safety Matthias Farley, recently released by the Indianapolis Colts.

Matthias Farley is a 27 year old, 5’ 11”, 204 pound safety out of Notre Dame. Farley was originally signed in May 2016 by the Arizona Cardinals but he never played for the Cardinals. The Cardinals waived Farley in early September, 2016 and the Indianapolis Colts claimed him off waivers.

Farley played three seasons for the Colts, from 2016 through 2018. His best season was in 2017, when Farley started 15 games. In 2017 Farley racked up 95 tackles, seven passes defended, four tackles for loss, three QB hits and two interceptions. For his career Farley has played in 37 games, starting 16. He has 118 career tackles, with 11 passes defended, four tackles for loss, three QB hits, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.
